Perhaps one of the most remarkable artists of our time, R. Brownell McGrew's paintings will live as a reflection of his love of the Southwest and its peoples. His shimmering portraits and landscapes can only be described as masterpieces.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, McGrew moved to California where he studied for four years at Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. He devoted much of his time to painting landscapes before focusing on the Navajo people. Many awards and honors have been bestowed on R. Brownell McGrew, including memberships in prestigious goups such as the National Academy of Western Art and the Cowboy Artists of America.
